Dear Ranchers,

The building we leased was sold, and we have moved in to a new location in Old Town Monrovia.

As you can imagine, there is a great deal of unpacking and redesign to complete before we start welcoming back our dog friends.

For fourteen years we have served this community with gratitude, caring for your dogs and earning your trust along the way. We hope that we helped out everyone in one way or another.

Your loyalty, trust, and support means a great deal to us, and we will always be grateful.

For a day, an afternoon, or overnight, wonderful dogs want to stay at Wonder Dog Ranch.

Wonder Dog Ranch is a caring place for your dog to call a home-away-from-home. Here you’ll find large rubber-floored play areas and comfy couches, where like-minded dogs can play, relax and enjoy each other while getting special attention from our on-site staff 24/7. Wonder Dog Ranch also has a limited number of private cabins available for those dogs who enjoy their privacy or whose activity needs to be limited.

About the Ranch

Your wonderful dog is a member of your family and we treat dogs like members of our Ranch family. Dogs come to the Ranch to play for the day or stay overnight. Daily activity is as important to your canine friends as it is to you. After a stay at Wonder Dog Ranch, your dog may just be a happier and more-relaxed companion.

Dogs at the Ranch can enjoy “The Dog’s Life Living Room” where they feel at home on couches and chairs watching a big screen tv. Or, they can run around in a “Pooch’s Playground,” one of several rubber-floored play areas with play equipment, dog dens, and even some comfy places for naps on Kuranda® beds.

Wonder Dog Ranch has a new location at 701 S. Myrtle in Old Town Monrovia, and is convenient to Arcadia, Pasadena, Sierra Madre, Bradbury, Duarte, Azusa, Temple City and Glendora… all the San Gabriel Valley towns along the 605 and 210 Foothill freeways in Los Angeles County. This is a great place to leave your dog as you head out to Big Bear, Palm Desert or Las Vegas.

Who we are

Wonder Dog Ranch is a family-owned and community-oriented business that was started by Brenda Trainor and Kevin Dods back in 2012. They wanted to offer a place for urban dogs to enjoy a bit of the country life where dogs can get their doggedness out and simply enjoy being with other dogs.

Our urban ranch is now actually inside a former office suite with about 4000 square feet of space for play areas, feeding stations, and some private cabins where dogs can run around and just enjoy being a dog while being kept safe with experienced attendants overseeing things around the clock.

Why Wonder Dog Ranch… because Ernie the Wonder Dog needed a place to stay! His people wanted him to have a safe place to enjoy the company of other dogs and not be stuck in a cramped cage. The Ranch was designed to meet his wonderdogful needs.
